Brand summary
Hollandaise Creamery is a full-service, artisan and experimental creamery based in Washington, D.C. Founded in 2026 by solo cheesemaker Keirstyn, the brand draws from Dutch and global dairy traditions, as well as local D.C. flavor, to make cheese, frozen custard, butter, yogurt, and other small-batch dairy products.
The first products drop Summer 2026. A limited Founder\u2019s Pass ($25, 100 spots) funded the kitchen buildout, licensing, and first production runs.
Hollandaise is explicitly a neighborhood brand: pickup and delivery in D.C., no shipping (yet), focused on access and playful product development over volume or scale.
Founder bio
Keirstyn is the solo founder, head cheesemaker, and approximately every other job at Hollandaise Creamery.
She studied sustainable food and agriculture at Purdue University, then apprenticed for 18 months at a traditional artisan creamery in New Hampshire, learning traditional European-style cheesemaking before returning to her hometown of Washington, D.C. to build Hollandaise.
Her focus: dairy that\u2019s accessible, affordable, nutrient-dense, and a little playful. She is particularly interested in food equity across D.C. wards and in experimental flavor development that reflects the city itself (hence Mumbo Sauce Gouda).
